This guide explains:

  • Where to find the reusable mandate link and how to use it

  • What happens when a customer authorises a mandate

Find and use the reusable direct debit mandate link

The reusable direct debit mandate link lets any customer set up a direct debit mandate with you. Once authorised, the mandate can be used to automatically collect invoice payments from that customer.

Where to find the link

  1. Go to Links in the sidebar.

  2. Copy your reusable direct debit mandate link.

The link includes your business name and branding. You can open it yourself to see exactly what customers will experience before sharing it.

How the link works

  • The link is static, meaning it never changes.

  • It can be reused by multiple customers.

  • You only need to set it up once and can share it wherever needed.

Where you can use the link

You can share the link in:

  • Your proposal software (for example, as part of accepting a proposal)

  • Your website

  • An email or email signature

  • Any other place where customers can access it

What happens when a customer authorises a mandate

When a customer completes the mandate using the link, Adfin will automatically:

  • Match the mandate to an existing customer if the name and email address match, or

  • Create a new customer if no match is found

In both cases:

  • You’ll receive an email notification.

  • A tag will be added to the customer to help you identify and manage them.

If a duplicate customer is created

If a new customer is created because the customer used a different name or email, you can use the customer merge feature to combine the records.
