Using Adfin payment links on Xero invoices

When you connect Xero to Adfin, Adfin is automatically added as an online payment service in Xero. This allows an Adfin On Demand payment link to be included on invoice PDFs generated by Xero.

1. Assign Adfin to the invoice

To ensure the Adfin payment link appears on the invoice PDF:

  1. Create a new invoice in Xero.

  2. In the Online payments section, make sure Adfin is the only option selected.

If Adfin is not assigned here, the payment link will not be included on the invoice PDF.

2. Approve the invoice

Once the invoice is approved, Xero generates the invoice PDF. This PDF will include the Adfin On Demand payment link.

Your customer will see a “View and pay online now” button on the invoice PDF - the payment link sits behind this.

3. Customer reviews the invoice

When the customer clicks “View and pay online now”, they are redirected to a Xero-hosted page where they can review the invoice details.

When they are ready to pay, they can click “Pay with Adfin”.

4. Customer completes payment

After clicking “Pay with Adfin”, the customer is redirected to the Adfin-hosted On Demand payment page.

From here, they can choose to pay using:

  • Bank transfer

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • Card

Once payment is completed, the invoice status is updated accordingly in both Xero and Adfin.
