Generic "We're using Adfin, you should too"

Subject: Intro to Adfin

Hi [Name],

Just wanted to mention something we thought might be useful! We use a payment provider called Adfin to collect our fees, and it's made a real difference to how quickly we get paid and how little time we spend chasing.

With Adfin, you can:

  • Manage invoices: create them in Adfin, import them in any format or connect to software like Xero

  • Get paid faster: you can collect via direct debit, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers, all in one place

  • Automate your credit control: send personalised reminders, set up instalment plans, and issue statements automatically

We've found it's saved us both time and money, and we think it could do the same for you! We've also arranged a special discount on the fees for our clients. If you'd like to find out more, just let me know and we can make an intro.

Best,

Follow up (after 2/3 days):

Hey XXXXX,

Forgot to mention that they’re doing an intro offer at the moment - £100 Amazon voucher once you process your first £1000 of payments through them!

Let me know if you’d like some more info.

Best,

Clients currently using GoCardless

Note: also works for clients using other payment providers, just switch 'GoCardless' out.

Subject: Cheaper direct debits

Hi [Name],

I wanted to flag something that could help save you some money. I know you're using GoCardless for your direct debits - we've come across a provider called Adfin that does everything GoCardless does, but at a lower cost.

The main things I think could help you:

  • Lower fees, and no charges when a payment fails

  • If a direct debit fails, it automatically retries and can fall back to card (so you actually get paid rather than just getting a failure notification!)

  • Built-in chasing and reminders, so you're not following up manually

  • Daily payouts rather than weekly

We actually use Adfin ourselves for our own payment collection and it's made a noticeable difference to our fees, which is partly why I thought of you.

I can get you a quick comparison of what you're paying now vs what you'd pay with Adfin - let me know if you’d like me to!

Best,

Clients using Stripe / PayPal

Subject: Save money on your card fees

Hi [Name],

I've been meaning to flag something that could help save you some money. I know you're using [Stripe/PayPal] for your payments - we've come across a provider called Adfin that handles card payments, but at a much lower cost.

The main things I think could help you:

Lower transaction fees, especially on card payments

They also support direct debit, Apple Pay and open banking (so your customers can pay however suits them)

Built-in chasing and reminders for overdue invoices

No charges for failed payments

We use Adfin ourselves and it's saved us a fair amount on fees, which is partly why I thought of you.

I can run a quick comparison of what you're paying now vs what you'd pay with Adfin - let me know if you'd like me to!

High overdue invoices / debtors

Subject: Something that could help with late payers

Hi [Name],

I wanted to mention something that could help with your debtor book. We've been using a provider called Adfin that's really helped us get our overdue invoices down.

Adfin is a payment collection platform that allows your clients to pay you via card, bank, direct debit and Google/Apple Pay.

The most impactful part is that it has built-in chasing that automatically follows up on overdue invoices for you (which can be on email, WhatsApp and SMS).

I'll be happy to show you how their credit control features work if you're interested - just let me know.

Best,

Manual credit control

Subject: Credit control support

Hi [Name],

I know you're spending a lot of time on credit control at the moment. I wanted to share something that could take a lot of that off your plate.

We've been using a provider called Adfin that automates most of the credit control process:

  • Automatic payment reminders via email, SMS and WhatsApp (so you're not having to chase manually!)

  • Customers can pay straight from the reminder, which speeds everything up

  • One dashboard that shows you exactly what's paid, what's due and what's overdue

We use Adfin for our own credit control and it's freed up a lot of time, which is why I thought of you.

Worth a look if you'd like to get some of those hours back - just let me know and I can talk you through it!

Best,

No payment platform (manual bank transfers / standing orders)

Subject: Intro to Adfin

Hi [Name],

I know you're collecting most payments via [bank transfer / standing orders] at the moment - I just wanted to share something we've been using that could take a lot of the admin out of it.

We've started using a payment provider called Adfin, and it's solved most of the issues that come with collecting this way:

  • Clients can pay by direct debit, card, Apple/Google Pay or open banking

  • Automatic reconciliation (so no more matching payments to invoices manually)

  • Notifications for successful or failed payments (you actually know when something's gone wrong)

  • If a direct debit fails, it retries automatically or falls back to card

  • Full control over the amount collected, even when it changes month to month

We use Adfin ourselves and it's saved us a lot of time with reconciliation and helped us get paid faster, which is why I thought of you.

Happy to talk you through it or intro you to their team - just let me know.

Best,

Growing / scaling business

Subject: Intro to Adfin

Hi [Name],

I wanted to share something that's helped us stay on top of payments as we've grown - thought it could be useful for you too!

We've been using a provider called Adfin to automate our payment process. The things that have made the biggest difference:

  • All payment methods in one place (direct debit, card, Apple Pay, open banking)

  • Automated reminders via email, WhatsApp and SMS

  • A dashboard that flags payments at risk before they become a problem

They also have API integration if you need more control.

It’s cheaper than any other provider we've looked at. Let me know if you'd like more info or an intro.

Best,

A real example from an Adfin customer (on why they moved to Adfin)

Subject: Simplifying Payments - Moving to Adfin

Dear [Name],

I hope this message finds you well.

To make payments simpler and more efficient, we’re moving all invoice payments to Adfin, a UK-based payment provider. Over the coming weeks, we’ll gradually transition away from Stripe, GoCardless, and bank transfers, bringing everything under one streamlined system.

Why Adfin?

Adfin specialises in flexible payment solutions and understands that every business is different. Their custom workflows will allow us to communicate more effectively with you about payments - even offering options like WhatsApp reminders instead of just email. Their fees are also slightly lower than GoCardless, so if you’d like an introduction for your own business, just let us know.

Why we’re making this change

Currently, we support multiple payment methods, which makes reconciliation more complex and time-consuming. As a growing business, better forecasting and efficiency mean we can spend more of our time delivering value to you, rather than managing admin.

What this means for you

  • Monthly payments - You’ll receive a new Direct Debit Mandate shortly. If you already pay via GoCardless, your Direct Debit will be moved over automatically - no need to cancel your existing setup.

  • No Direct Debit? - If you do not currently have a Direct Debit set up, now is the time to set one up.

  • One-off payments - We’ll still offer Credit/Debit Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, just as we did with Stripe.

What if I need to make a change to my bank account or package?

There’s no change to how you communicate updates to us. Simply let us know as you do now, and we’ll update Adfin accordingly. It works just like any other Direct Debit you use for business or personal payments.

What are the next steps?

Keep an eye out for an email from Adfin with your Direct Debit Mandate. Once signed, all invoices will be automatically collected through this method.

Thank you for your continued support as we make this improvement - we’re confident it will make things easier for everyone.
