✍️ Customise your Auto Collect chasing workflows

To customise Auto Collect workflows (i.e, payments where funds are automatically taken from the customer’s account), go to Settings → Workflows.


Mandate Authorisation Email

  • If you do not have an Adfin Direct Debit mandate established with the customer, Adfin will send a mandate request and chase it if required.

  • Chasing frequency: Choose how often to send reminders - every 3, 5, 7, or 14 days.

  • We will stop chasing after 180 days or once the mandate is authorised.

  • You can also add custom messaging to be included in the mandate authorisation email.


Direct Debit Retries

  • If a payment fails, Adfin will retry the payment every 7 working days (the fastest interval allowed by scheme rules).

  • Adfin does not charge for retries.

  • Choose whether to attempt 1, 2, or 3 retries.

  • Retries are enabled by default, but you can turn them off.


Send an On Demand Payment Request if All Retries Fail

  • If all Direct Debit retries fail, Adfin will automatically send an On Demand payment request to the customer.

  • This is enabled by default.

  • Choose how often On Demand payment reminders are sent: every 7, 14, or 30 days.

  • You can add a custom message to this request, e.g:

    “Your Direct Debit payment failed - please pay by card as soon as possible.”
