You can export your Adfin data to a CSV file whenever you need it, for reconciliation, record-keeping, or working through the numbers in a spreadsheet. CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers.
There are three places to export from, depending on what you're after:
Transactions - your payouts and the payments inside them.
Payments - your invoices and payment requests.
Customers - your customer list with balances and credit control status.
Two ways to export
The button works a little differently depending on the screen, so it's worth knowing both:
On Transactions, you tick the rows you want first, then click Download CSV. Only the rows you've selected go into the file.
On Payments and Customers, there's nothing to tick. Click Export CSV and Adfin exports everything currently in the list. Narrow the list with the filters and search first, and the file will match what's on screen.
Export from Transactions
Go to the Transactions dashboard.
Using the checkboxes on the left of the table, tick the payouts you want to export. The checkbox in the header row selects the rows shown.
Once at least one row is selected, the Download CSV button appears in the action bar at the bottom of the screen.
Click Download CSV. Adfin prepares the file and it downloads automatically.
Tick only the rows you want for a focused file, or use the header-row checkbox to select the rows shown when you want the lot. If your payouts run across more than one page, check the selection has picked up everything you need before you download. You can also open a single payout and use Download CSV there to export just that payout's payments.
The file (payouts.csv) includes: Value Date, Currency, Amount, Reference, Status, Bank Account, Customer Name, Payment Request Number, Payment Date, Payment Method, and Receipt Number.
Export from Payments
This is your list of invoices and payment requests.
Go to the Payments screen.
To export a selection, use the filters, search, and sorting to narrow the list first. To export everything, clear any filters and search so the full list is showing.
Click Export CSV, at the top right of the table.
Adfin exports every row in your current view, the whole list and not just the page on screen, and the file downloads automatically.
The file (receivables.csv) includes: Customer, Primary Contact Name, Primary Contact Email, Amount, Received Amount, Processing Amount, Unpaid Amount, Status, Type, ID, Issue Date, Due Date, Credit Control Status, Direct Debit Mandate Status, Source, Created By, Created At, and Paid Time.
Export from Customers
This is your customer list, with balances and credit control status.
Go to the Customers screen.
To export a selection, filter or search to narrow the list first. To export everyone, clear any filters and search so the full list is showing.
Click Export CSV.
Adfin exports every customer in your current view, not just the page on screen, and the file downloads automatically.
The file (credit-control.csv) includes: Customer Name, Primary Contact Name, Primary Contact Email, Amount, Received Amount, Processing Amount, Unpaid Amount, Direct Debit Status, Direct Debit Signing Date, Credit Control Status, Tags, External ID, Created By, and Created At. The signing date is filled in only for customers with an active direct debit mandate, and left blank otherwise.
Good to know
Looking to give a customer a copy of an invoice or a statement? That's separate from exporting your own data: your customers can download a PDF invoice from the invoice record.
